The Art of Letting Go
Change never asks permission.
It arrives like a tide
pulling you under,
dragging pieces of the past you swore you’d keep.
I’ve been there,
holding tight to what hurt me,
mistaking survival for living,
thinking freedom was something given,
not something you take.
But there comes a day
when you stop asking
who you’re supposed to be
and start asking
what makes you feel alive.
And that question—
it changes everything.
So I let go.
Of the guilt that isn’t mine to carry,
of the voices that said I should stay small,
of the fear that kept my world too quiet.
I choose the unknown—
the open road,
the wild air,
the possibility that there is more.
And in the leaving, I find myself
unfolding, unafraid,
no longer waiting to be free.
I make my freedom.
I make my happiness.
And I will let myself unfold into the person I’ve always been.

Take up space!
